Shonesty Kuku is a dedicated Mental Health Specialist and Group Facilitator at Heart of Mind Therapy. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and has advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her experience includes working with youth and adults impacted by trauma, children with autism, and individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. By specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Shonesty helps clients understand the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, offering practical tools for growth and healing.

In her group therapy work, Shonesty creates safe, inclusive spaces where clients can connect, share, and support one another. She designs sessions that are interactive and tailored to each group’s needs, fostering empowerment, belonging, and resilience. Through her compassionate approach, she guides participants toward self-discovery and encourages them to prioritize their mental well-being. Her leadership in programs such as Empower Her Circle for teen girls and Women Without Limits for adult women reflects her passion for building community and promoting meaningful change.
